We started by discussing potential ideas for our mobile game as well as a team name.
DoomZoomGloomJoom -> Initials of our team members with "oom" at the end
The first idea was a sorting game to drag and drop corresponding parcels to their correct area. If the player puts a box into the wrong area the game ends. The player's score increases depending on the time they have played for. The parcels come in through a chute and as the time surviving increases, so does the amount of parcels and the speed at which they come in.

The seconds idea was a game to clean up the house before your mum gets home. The player has to complete a list of chores within the set time limit. This includes hoovering, washing disses, doing the laundry and unfreezing chicken. The faster the player completes it the more stars they earn. the levels can be scalable and contain fun level design (inspired by overcooked) including moving platforms and the hoover running out of charge.

We were leaning more towards the seconds idea but the control scheme could be more complex and leans too much toward console controls as opposed to mobile.
We then proceeded to test out previous mobile game submissions to gauge the gameplay and level design needed.
I also discussed team roles with our team members:
-GDD (everyone writes up their own section - but there are some areas which can be assigned to one person) Game loops, mechanics, story/theme description, character description, level design, planned level layout, initial concept art, models, UI display.
- Programmer
- Artist
- Level designer
- Sound designer
- UI designer
I came up with a potential design for the logo on the boxes

A few days later with the initial idea discussed and the team name finalised we created a google play console account.
