Animations:

I animated each of the icons in unity and added an animation event at the end of each one. This is so the animation would play once, then the assets would be set to inactive - so they stay hidden during play.

In a simple script attached to each animated asset (in Belt there were 2 items which needed animating) a function to hide all assets would be called.

Planning:

Catch:

The hand would pan from side to side

Belt:

A the hand would lower down to a box and move towards the appropriate container. A prefab of the medium box also had an animation which would move towards the blue container. It was important that the box animation was timed correctly to the hand.

Truck:

Since truck utilises gyro mechanics instead of touch motions, It needed a different model

I created a basic model of a phone and added a texture with a basic truck level as the screen. At the start of the level the phone would rotate side to side before being hidden.

Once the animations were added, it was also important for the player to be able to view the tutorial at any given time:

A screenshot was taken from each level and a basic description of the goals were added.

The main menu was still quite bare and so I had updated the UI elements and added in randomly spawned boxes:

The script would take in a couple of the boxes and spawn random ones every couple of seconds at set spawn points. I order to prevent clutter and low FPS, a box with a trigger was added which would destroy any parcels it touches. Since each box has a Rigidbody, they would fall down naturally.

Video Showcasing boxes:

The logo was quite plain and so using the open box I revamped the basic logo.

(Background is purple to make editing it out easier)

I then added in a background on Photoshop to remove the background. The vonveyor belt drew the attention away from the box and so it was removed. Shadows and outlines were added to make it pop.

The truck level had a part where the player taps the screen to delivery parcels - the green box had been replaced with a parcel with yellow indicators and a green ring.

The playtest report and GDD were then written up - the source code and sound sections of the GDD written by our programmer & sound designer. The GDD & playtest report was updated and written late due to absent team members not contributing.

Final GDD:

Working closely with our programmer many bugs were fixed - such as the star's not showing properly. The animatons were overwritten by accident and so they had to be re-anabled properly again. Sounds had also been added as well as BGM.

The final build was then uploaded to Google Play:
